Ranveer Singh, who has started working on his first Dharma Productions film — director Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, is slowly warming up to Karan Johar, and the admiration seems to be mutual. We hear that Karan has asked Ranveer to be a part of a period drama that he has been planning for a while.
“It will be a big budget film. It’s the first time Karan’s entering the period drama space. After backing both the Baahubali films, he has tasted blood. He now wants to make a film on a similar scale under the Dharma Productions banner. Ranveer and Karan share a great rapport and it will be interesting to see them working together,” a source says.
At the moment, it is not clear who will direct the film. We’re looking forward to an official announcement.
