Vinod Khanna demise: Mourning KJo and Rajamouli cancel Baahubali 2 premiere

Mumbai: After a long battle with cancer, yesteryear actor and politician Vindo Khanna breathed his last this afternoon at 11.20am, at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital.

The entire film fraternity is deeply saddened by the loss of this gem of an actor. Producer-director Karan Johar has released a statement informing that the premiere event for ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’, which was supposed to be held today, has been cancelled as a mark of respect to the late actor.

He said: We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved, the legendary Vinod Khanna. The demise has come as a huge shock to all of us. As a mark of respect for our dearly departed, the premiere event of Baahubali : The Conclusion is now cancelled. Love and remembrance, Karan Johar, SS Rajamouli and the entire team of Baahubali.

Starring Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubatti, Sathyaraj and Tammanaah Bhatiah, the magnum opus is slated to release on April 28.
