Deepika blasts at Salman Khan's luxury' comment when speaking on depression?
Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut might have termed Karan Johar the flagbearer of nepotism, but Deepika Padukone is surely the flagbearer of depression.
The actress had openly spoken about her depression phase and how she coped with it. In fact, Dippy even opened an NGO ‘Live, Love, Laugh’ foundation for the same purpose.
Salman Khan was recently asked about depression, to which he answered, “I can’t afford that luxury of being depressed or sad or emotional because no matter what I am going through, it works against me.”
At a recently held panel discussion, Deepika expressed her views saying that depression is not a luxury and it is important to break the myth.
She said, “When we were talking about more celebrities coming out, there is also a misconception that depression happens to people who are successful. I want to clarify that it can happen to anybody from any field, irrespective of their socio-economic background. Depression is sometimes perceived as a luxury. People think that those who have too much time or money get into depression. I think it is very important to break that myth.”
Looks like Deepika was fuming with Salman’s comment. This however isn’t the first time that Salman called trouble for himself by expressing his views.
