Shahid Kapoor's brother and Saif Ali Khan's daughter to star in Karan's SOTY 2?

Mumbai: Ever since Karan Johar revealed that the sequel to his ‘Student of the Year’ is on cards, a lot of speculations about the film’s star cast have been made so far.

While Alia, Sidharth and Varun cleared the air by saying that they are not reuniting in ‘Student of the Year 2’, other actors expressed their desire to be part of the franchise.

Now buzz is that Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara and Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan are in talks with Karan Johar and if all goes as planned, the two will be making their Bollywood debut with ‘SOTY 2’.

Earlier we told you that Karan Johar was to launch Amrita and Saif’s daughter Sara opposite Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan in a very unusual love story.

However, Karan Johar hasn’t yet confirmed the star cast of ‘SOTY 2’, Ishaan and Sara are likely to step in Bollywood with this film.

Both Sara and Ishaan have harboured acting ambitions since childhood. Sara, who has graduated from Colombia University, grew up watching her parents leave for shoots every day.

In an interview some time back, Saif was quoted saying, “Yes, she wants to join films, but currently she is at Columbia and doing very well and I want her to focus on her studies. Look at Soha. She has a degree from London School of Economics and she is now into movies. I think the girls in my family think this (Bollywood) is far more fun. Yes, perhaps it is.”

On the other hand, Ishaan worked as an Assistant director in Shahid's film 'Udta Punjab' also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh. Shahid is actively involved in his kid-brother’s diet, physique and grooming.
