'That was fun for her and the show': Karan Johar on Kangana's 'nepotism' remark

On Koffee with Karan's one of the recent episodes, Kangana took blatant shots at Karan.

Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut is inarguably the most outspoken actress in the industry, widely acknowledged and appreciated for her candour.

Even when she was right in the middle of the ugly and very public spat with Hrithik Roshan over a rumoured relationship gone sour, she didn't shy away from bluntly expressing herself. The meta-reference, a straight jibe at the head honcho of the famed 'launchpad' for industry kids, was quite blatantly hilarious, much to the shock of Saif and Karan.

This has precisely been the reason why a generic consensus had been attained on the need to get her on Karan Johar's Koffee with Karan- a show that thrives on its candid rendezvous.

And finally, the coup was achieved, when KJo managed to get her alongside her 'Rangoon' co-star Saif Ali Khan on the couch.

And, believe it or not, the hist himself had to bear the brunt of her gleefully blunt demeanour. During a particular segment, which got revealed in the episodes promo, the actress said that if a biopic on her were to ever be made, Karan Johar would be cast as a snooty insider who's intolerant towards outsiders and is a flag-bearer of nepotism in the industry.

While on the show, Karan laughed it off, he finally expressed his views when a user during a live chat session on Twitter asked, "Was Kangana correct about nepotism?"

Karan replied back by saying, "Not entirely! She made an impact with her sweeping statements! That was fun... for her! And the show."

When asked if he is indeed obsessed with star kids, Karan said: "Ask Kangana."
