Sidharth Malhotra to play a double role in Raj-DK's untitled action potboiler

Mumbai: Sidharth Malhotra might have tasted his first flop with Nitya Mehra’s ‘Baar Baar Dekho,’ but that hasn’t deterred the youngster from working hard on his untitled next.

The film which was rumoured to have been a sequel to Sidharth Anand’s Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Bang Bang,’ is being helmed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK.

However, as per a report in DNA, the film, touted to be an action potboiler with ample elements of humour, is set to have Sidharth in a double role.

The actor will be seen indulging in some raw hand-to-hand combat scenes in the film, which has him a man on a mission.

The two characters are also said to be diametrically different and will see the actor in different avatars.

The film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Suniel Shetty. Suniel, an ex-colonel in the film, will incidentally be playing Sidharth's father. The actor himself has been undergoing vigorous training for his action sequences in the film.

The film, which has a sole schedule left to be canned post the current one, is expected to be up for release around June-July in 2017.
