Shocking! Kaabil' trailer leaked way ahead of its scheduled time

Rakesh Roshan revealed that he had never planned to release the trailer on October 25 but was forced to.

Mumbai: Yet again, a big banner film falls prey to the world of piracy. The movie in question is Hrithik Roshan-Yaami Gautam starrer Kaabil’, the trailer of which was scheduled for a October 26 release but thanks to unethical hackers, the trailer was out 15 hours ahead of time.

Releasing that the hackers have already caused substantial damage, Rakesh Roshan & Co. released the trailer in a hurry.

"I'm shocked and saddened at this hacking or stealing or whatever it is. It's obviously with a malicious intent. What pleasure can someone get by doing this? It's just hurtful. But now we have upped the ante and are being even more vigilant around the movie release,” said Mr. Roshan.

Roshan Sr. and team had worked out a concrete marketing and PR plan revolving around the actual date, which, of course, they could not execute

"We had planned our marketing and Pr strategy around the actual date of the trailer launch. Now everything had to be changed at the last minute.”

The makers are trying every possible way to track down the source and remove it from the internet.

This is not the first time that a much-anticipated film has suffered in the hands of piracy. Shahid Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Udta Punjab’ had to deal with a much worse situation where the entire film was leaked online. ‘Grand Masti’ was also hacked and made available online.
