Pakistan will not release ADHM and Shivaay', confirms Fox Star and Reliance Ent

Mumbai: Just a day after the self-imposed ‘suspension’ was lifted by Pakistani exhibitors on Indian films, renowned film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to put an end to all sorts of speculations revolving around the release of these two movies on Pakistani soil.

He wrote: Both #ADHM and #Shivaay WILL NOT release in Pakistan... Fox Star and Reliance Ent confirmed to me... Should put an end to all speculations.

This decision of banning Indian films was fuelled by Indian Motion Picture Producers’Association’s (IMPPA) announcement on banning Pakistani artists and technicians from working in India till normalcy returns.

Maharastra Navnirman Sena (MNS), which had previously threatened to ban ADHM and given a 48-hour ultimatum to Pakistani actors to leave India, has now assured a smooth release of ADHM in India. The Pakistani exhibtors, however, are not too keen on releasing any of the Indian films in their country. As a result, Ajay Devgn’s action-drama ‘Shivaay’ will also not be released there.
