So all those super romantic scenes between Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai may just be teasers. During the 2016 Mami Festival, the cast of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma, and director Karan Johar, had a short discussion with the host. Showering praises on Aishwarya’s performance in the film, Karan quips, “I must confess that Aishwarya plays her character with utmost grace. Her dignified performances always take the scenes to another level. Let me tell you, there is no kissing or anything sensual about the film. It’s the attitude that she shows through her eyes and body language. Of course, whatever is shown in the teasers are there in the film, too!”
Elaborating on her character in the film, Aishwarya comments, “Karan had explained everything to me. I was fully aware of my role and the journey that the character had to go through. When you know your character fully well, you can easily portray the attitude as per the demands of the character. The relationship between the two characters has been shown, but there is nothing frivolous or sensual. I am also very comfortable with Karan, so performing this character was not hard at all. That said, working with Karan on an entirely different project like this was great, as, this character is different from all those that I have performed during my entire film journey.”
