In the month of Shraavan and a day after the auspicious occasion of Onam, the special day for brothers and sisters is finally here! Rakshabandhan, the day where a brother promises to take care of his sister while pampering her with gifts, has been special for Bollywood celebs too.
When Deccan Chronicle caught up with Sunny Kaushal during an exclusive interaction, he opened up about his experience of the festival.
Vicky Kaushal being his only brother, it would be interesting to know what the celebrations between two brothers are. It so happens that both the brothers celebrate with their cousin sisters.
When asked about it, Sunny reveals, “No, no. We have cousin sisters and all. Two Rakhi sisters come to our house and one is in Punjab so she sends post and we do video call. So the celebrations are on in full swing. But I love Rakhi. The only different thing now is that since I saw the sisters grow up, they used to come when they were small and now one has a kid so with her, even her son comes along (laughs).”
Rajpal Yadav, while wishing his fans on the festival, also went on to say something totally different. He mentioned, “It is the time of Raksha Bandhan and in the population of 750 crore people who are scared to be brothers, my dream is to connect with 300 sisters that Rajpal Yadav is my brother.”
Elaborating on his thinking, Rajpal added, “People usually dream about becoming someone’s fiancé and are proud of the number of girlfriends they have. But when you tell a guy that he is your brother so they have a weird complex, and that made me think I should do it. I even call my smaller brother bhaiya. So whoever feels that they want a brother whom they can trust, they should know that Rajpal Yadav is ready to be that brother. Happy Rakshabandhan and stay happy, healthy and amazing.”
Vineet Kumar Singh also had something to add on this. Here’s what it is:
