Akshay Kumar returns the favour, bats for Sonakshi Sinha's Akira

The actor, who's on a career high, promoted the actress'upcoming film and wished her luck.

Mumbai: Akshay Kumar is quite generous when it comes to supporting his colleagues. Every major star in town had come out to canvas for his most recent blockbuster, 'Rustom', for this very reason.
The actor, hence, seems to be in the mood to return the favour, now.
In a video that he posted on Instagram and Twitter, the actor bats for his 'Rowdy Rathore' co-star Sonakshi Sinha, whose AR Murugadoss helmed action flick 'Akira' is up for release.
Akshay can be seen speaking from his hometown, Lucknow, also relatedly speaking for women empowerment.
Sonakshi herself had posted a video of her singing a song from 'Rustom' while playing the drums.
'Akira' releases on September 2.
