Dhadak, which recorded a score of Rs. 8.71 crores on opening day, is swiftly inching towards Rs 50 crores mark. The film is expected to close its first week on a very good note.

At the success press conference, Janhvi Kapoor talked about reading the reviews revealed what she felt whenever she read a positive and a negative review about herself. She said, “I did a yay 100 times when they praised me and cried in the bathroom when it was a nay”.

When asked if she had received any advice from her family, Janhvi quipped, "They told me to not do any remake for some time."

Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor were asked their views on being labelled as 'star kids'. Janhvi said, "It has a long way to go for us and one hit film doesn't mean I am successful. There is a lot more I need to do to earn love, affection and acceptance from people."

Ishaan said, "I am happy that people are accepting and loving my character (in the film). I believe it's people's prerogative to label us as star kids."

Produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Zee Studios, Dhadak is the Hindi remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat. The film surpassed the first day collections of another Karan Johar movie - Student Of The Year (which marked Bollywood debut of Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan). Dhadak is now Bollywood's highest grosser with newcomers.
