What could possibly have prompted Katrina Kaif to dance at a private wedding earlier this week? The zeroes on the cheque, of course.
But she has a reputation to uphold and most A-lister actresses don’t really dance at weddings. A major filmmaker says this surprises him. “Doing item numbers in films is understandable though considering how they affect the audiences’ mindset I’d say it us wrong. But to dance at one of these lavish North Indian weddings where half the guests are drunk is not safe, no matter how many bouncers accompany the artiste.” A friend of Salman Khan says, he’s surprised she wasn’t advised to stay away from such a cheesy endeavour.
“Bhai doesn’t dance at weddings, no matter how many zeroes are on the cheque. I know for a fact that Bhai advises her on most of her professional decisions. But she doesn’t always listen to him. I suspect this was one of those instances when she did her own thing unheedful of Bhai’s advice,” says Salman’s friend.
While small-time actresses are known to make extra money by dancing at weddings and other private functions for the moneyed, a top actress doing the same is indeed rare. One hopes Katrina would desist from such lowbrow income-enhancement.
