Nothing makes me happier than winning this award with you: Ranveer to Deepika

Bollywood’s ‘peshwa’ Ranveer Singh picked up the ‘Best Performance in a Leading role (Male) Award’ for his role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’. The actor, who was ecstatic to win the top honour, was also glad to share the moment with his lady love Deepika Padukone.

Being the charmer he is, Ranveer made it a point to include Deepika in his thank you speech. He also made it a point to let her know how beautiful she looked in her beige and gold lehnga.

Accepting his award, Ranveer said, “Nothing makes me happier than winning this award with you. I hope you could dress like this in ‘Piku’. Ladies and gentlemen, thanks so much.”

Ranveer and Deepika finally reunited at the IIFA awards on Saturday night. The two stars spent the past few months apart, shooting for their respective films- ‘Befikre’ and ‘xXx: The Return of Xander Cage’. Pictures from the award show that made their way online, show the two practically joined at the hip all through the ceremony. If not staring lovingly at the other, the two held each other tight at the waist.
