Akshay Kumar, we hear, has given his nod to work with director Divya Khosla Kumar.
A source close to the development said, “Divya and Akshay have discussed the project, and Akshay has agreed to be a part of it for a huge price—approximately Rs 56 crores. Divya seems to have agreed to the terms.”
Both Divya’s films—Yaariyaan and Sanam Re—did well at the box office, so neither of the two parties are wary of the financial prospects of the third project, adds the source. She has also directed music videos before.
When contacted however, Divya only said, “This is news to me,” while her husband and producer Bhushan Kumar said, “It’s a rumour, Divya is still writing the script.”
