The entire team and I were in awe of Madhuri, says 'Bucket List' director Tejas

The director also spoke about the association with big Bollywood stars and production houses that benefits regional films.

Mumbai: Director Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar who is directing his third Marathi venture titled, ‘Bucket List’ with the diva Madhuri Dixit, unhesitatingly feels no offence in considering himself having entered the big league of B-town. “Yes, with Madhuri Dixit being the star of my film “Bucket List”  it does help in making a huge buzz not only in the B-town but Internationally also.”

Adding more he says, “It was delight working with Madhuri Dixit. While working with Madhuri the entire team and I were in awe of Madhuri.The film is undeniably being carried on her shoulders. While beginning to work with her we felt she is a star but Madhuri was so natural and simple that we felt as though we were working with a superb human being.”

 

Since Karan Johar production house is representing, ‘Bucket list’ with their associations and share of promotions the film has created more than the required buzz. Also Karan has millions of followers the buzz created nationally and internationally is huge enough. With the associations of Dharma Productions, it thus also validates the content of the film”

On trade front he says, "The film has a limited number of audiences being Marathi language. But with this film having a star like Madhuri the film has definitely gone beyond the regional limitations. The film is being shown in more than 15 Countries abroad- US, Germany, U.A.E. Singapore, Hong Kong, Switzerland etc making this film Pan India.”

 

Adding more on trade front Tejas adds, “In US and most of the countries we have many Indians. In foreign territories the shows are booked on weekend levels. In Countries mentioned above and more [US, Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong, Switzerland and UAE] there is a huge demand to watch his film. Since the tickets for the first weekend are completely sold. Thus the theatre owners are going in for second and third weekend as well. With such a huge number of tickets being sold over three weekends, which is already a hit numbers. We are looking forward to get International recognition as well. On par with overseas Trade we are more than satisfied. With Satellite rights it will like an additional perks for all of us.”

 

Adding more about his association with Karan Johar he says, “It has definitely catapulted me into a different league. Whether offers come my way from any other big production house is matter to wait and watch. Yet! I always like to keep going and so my next project too is a Marathi venture .This film will be having a male lead again from the Bollywood industry. This male star undeniably is a big bollywood star.”

Who is the next big Bollywood star for Tejas’ next Marathi venture, Akshay Kumar or Aamir Khan? “At the moment you may keep guessing as I will reveal only when the right time comes. I can only reveal my next Marathi venture will have a big B-town star with all stellar cast in it…from both Marathi and Hindi film industry," he concludes.
