Mumbai: Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Raabta’ has fallen into a copyright infringement feud.
The makers of Telugu film ‘Magadheera’ have accused ‘Raabta’ makers for plagiarism. They claim the film’s plotline, which revolves around reincarnation, to be copied from their 2009 film ‘Magadheera’ which starred Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal.
‘Magadheera’ makers have approached the Hyderabad court, to seek a ban on the release of the film.
However, the producers of ‘Raabta,’ Dinesh Vijan and Bhushan Kumar have released an official statement squashing the copyright allegations.
Here is a copy of the statement by team ‘Raabta’:
The case will be heard in Hyderabad court on June 1, deciding the release of ‘Raabta’, which is slated to hit the theatres on June 9.
