Mumbai: Yami Gautam had a double celebration recently. While her film Uri has gone on to be one of the biggest blockbusters in Hindi cinema, she also completed seven years in the film industry as this week saw Vicky Donor — her debut film, completing seven years.
“When your first film and your latest film have celebrations, it feels great. It was kind of a dual celebration with both the teams and it feels great,” says the actress.
Even though she has been in the industry for so long, the actress feels like a newbie. She says, “I am really happy and elated at how things have firmed up for me. But it does not feel like I have completed seven years. It feels like I am just under seven days old in the film industry.”
The actress feels that her co-actors, filmmakers and fans have made sure that she would enjoy the journey. “It has been a very interesting journey so far for me. I have had a really good time and everyone around has been very supportive,” says the Kaabil actress who has now signed a big film, but is not letting the cat out of the bag.
“I wish I could. But then let the official confirmation and announcement come about,” she says, fingers crossed.
