Madhavan seeks help from Aamir to gain weight for upcoming Ambi Narayan biopic

Incidentally, he will also be seen playing an astronaut in upcoming space drama 'Chandamama Door Ke'.

Mumbai: R Madhavan has been enjoying a new lease of life, post the success of his 'Tanu Weds Manu' franchise and his recent releases 'Saala Khadoos' and Tamil film 'Vikram Vedha'.

The actor is now rumoured to be on-board to play S Nambi Narayan, renowned rocket scientist.

Incidentally, he will also be seen playing an astronaut in Sushant Singh Rajput's upcoming space drama 'Chandamama Door Ke,' also starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

To prepare for the biopic, the actor has sought help from good friend Aamir Khan, who had baffled everyone by gaining ample weight to play Mahavir Singh Phogat in 'Dangal'.

“The prep is taking me through different age groups, shapes and sizes. I have to put on weight to play the character in his older days, and I consulted Aamir for tips. He told me it’s better to do the heavier parts first so that I’m compelled to lose all the weight I put on,” Time of India quoted Maddy as saying.

Aamir himself has been in the news for reportedly being on-board to play Rakesh Sharma in an intended biopic.

With Maddy's impeccable acting skills, the yet untitled film is very much in safe hands, we must stay.
