All details on DeepVeer wedding and how Priyanka Chopra is important part of that
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh finally made their relationship official with a wedding card, announcing that they will get married on November 14, which also marks their first movie together ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram Leela’s anniversary. The couple did not share any other details post that, but some publications have gone on to report that Ranveer Singh will fly from Mumbai on November 10, 2018.
DeepVeer’s sangeet ceremony will take place on November 13. They will get married in two ceremonies – one South Indian and the other being North Indian. A source informed Mid-Day, “Since Deepika is a South Indian and Ranveer is of Sindhi-Punjabi origin, the two families decided to follow customs practised by both communities. A South Indian wedding has been planned for November 14, complete with Kannadiga rituals. The next day will see the couple solemnise their relationship as per the customs of a North Indian wedding (Anand Karaj).”
Like Ranveer had once promised for his wedding, the couple will host a party on November 15, 2018, after their wedding. They have invited very few close friends and family members – only 4 people including Farah Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aditya Chopra and Sanjay Leela Bhansali – for their wedding at Villa Del Balbianello, Lake Como in Italy.
Even after the party is over, the couple plan to host a grand reception for their friends from the industry. “The two will host a reception at Grand Hyatt on December 1. As their wedding is an intimate affair, the reception will be a grand one where they will invite their Bollywood friends,” a source informed Mid-Day.
They reportedly even invited their Bajirao Mastani co-actress Priyanka Chopra, who herself will reportedly host her wedding reception on the same day. “The (Nickyanka) wedding will take place on November 30 and the three-day long functions include a sangeet ceremony on November 29 and a reception on December 1. They have invited a select guest list of 110 people including relatives and close friends,” a source told Hindustan Times.
Pinkvilla reported that Deepika and Ranveer will also be hosting another wedding reception in Bengaluru, where her family is based. Deepika Padukone’s parents took the initiative to invite their close friends and extended family members for the reception in Bengaluru which will take place on November 21, 2018. The family has booked the ballroom of The Leela Palace Hotel.
