Sushant bats for buddy Ranbir's controversy-laden ADHM

The Karan Johar helmed 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' is scheduled to release on October 28.

Mumbai: Sushant Singh Rajput with his turn as the Indian ODI skipper in 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' has catapulted himself to the big league of young actors.

The four-film-old actor has been busy filming for Homi Adajania's upcoming drama, 'Takadum,' co-starring Parineeti Chopra and Irrfan Khan. But that didn't stop him from interacting with good friend Ranbir Kapoor.

Ranbir's upcoming film, the Karan Johar helmed 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,' has been mired in some serious controversy for its casting of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan. The MNS, which had declared that it would not let the film be released if Fawad was not to be replaced.

However, the producers and Raj Thackeray, chief of the MNS, came to a consensus in the presence of Maharasthra CM Devendra Fadnavis, who acted as the mediator, and a safe release of the film was facilitated, albeit with conditions.

Karan had to agree to pay 5 crores to the army relief fund, an extortionist agenda of the MNS, that many of his contemporaries had heavily criticised.

With all the existing controversy and hype surrounding the film,Sushant came out in support of it, irrespectively.
