Rishi Kapoor expresses sadness over Farokh Engineer's 'death', apologizes for gaffe
Mumbai: Since Sunday former Indian cricketer Farokh Engineer was pestered with calls from various parts of the world to know if the news of his death were true and he obviously denied it to all who called.
Rishi Kapoor also became a victim to the false rumours, and on Tuesday morning conveyed his 'condolences' to Engineer's family on Twitter along with a picture of the cricketer.
The actor, however, got to know about the goof-up and deleted the tweet after a few minutes and apologized to the cricketer and his family for his gaffe.
After the rumours of Engineer's 'death', former Mumbai captain Shishir Hattangadi had posted on Facebook, "Dear friends, this news doing the rounds of Farokh Engineer is a hoax. Farokh is fine. Please defuse all rumours on Farokh."
"Friends, I am alive and kicking. I am very well and let me tell you I don't even need viagra at 78,” Farokh Engineer told Mid-Day.
