MS Dhoni touring cities to promote his upcoming biopic

I love Hyderbad's biriyani, says M.S. Dhoni, Cricketer.

M.S. Dhoni, who’s aggressively promoting the biopic made on him made a quick stop at Hyderabad where hundreds of fans gathered to have a glimpse of the Indian skipper.

Speaking about what he loves about Hyderabad, Dhoni named the obvious biriyani. “I love a lot of things about the city. The moment you talk about Hyderabad, biryani is the first thing that comes to your mind. It was the year 2000, and I was in Hyderabad to play a cricket match, that’s when I was introduced to Hyderabadi biriyani and I make sure that we never miss out on it, whenever I visit the city. The bangles of Hyderabad are also famous. I had once picked a few for my wife.”

Rajamouli’s fanboy moment
S.S. Rajamouli, the chief guest of the event, looked like an excited child when he took over the stage. “I know how it feels to stand next to Dhoni, I also know that all you guys out there are jealous since I am standing here. It’s okay, you could feel jealous. I am really happy for getting this chance,” said Rajamouli.

He continued, “I was asked to attend the audio launch of Dhoni. The person who asked me didn’t know that even if I was asked to pay a crore to be here, I would. M.S. Dhoni is my inspiration.

When my generation started watching cricket from mid 1980s, we were introduced to the game by great players like Gavaskar and Kapil Dev etc. We would always be worried about India losing the game. We would watch cricket with fear rather than joy but after Dhoni became the captain, we started watching cricket purely out of joy.

Even players making their debut with the Indian team started playing without any fear. That is how he changed Indian cricket. And as he left the stage, the fanboy in him pushed Rajamouli to ask: “Can I have a photo with you, please?” before asking to lead India to the World Cup once again.
