Jaya Bachchan can be strict as hell, as the paparazzi found out yet again. The ‘Rishi Kapoor of offline media’, Jaya was recently present for the inauguration of a store by designer Shruti Sancheti when the media wanted to take some pictures of the veteran actress. But she was in no mood to oblige them.
“Maaf kar do, ho gaya,” she growled, scaring all the photographers present. “No one wants to indulge in an argument with celebrities anymore. We do respect their privacy and want to click pictures of them only when they are comfortable. Ideally when someone comes for an event, we assume that they will pose for pictures. But seeing her reaction, we immediately asked all the other photographers to back off and just took candid pictures of her,” says a photographer who was present.

The paparazzi found out only later why Jaya was in such a hurry to leave. Apparently, Karisma Kapoor, her former bahu-to-be was scheduled to arrive immediately after she left, prompting her to hasten her exit.
