Sonakshi Sinha made her Bollywood debut with Dabangg, which earned her immediate recognition and several awards. She was also the leading lady for Dabangg 2. However, earlier this year, rumours were afloat that she had been dropped from the hit franchise over alleged friction with Salman Khan, which started when Sonakshi turned down director Arbaaz Khan’s production Dolly Ki Doli. Rumours of Parineeti Chopra replacing Sonakshi for the role of Rajjo in Dabangg 3 took the industry by storm before Arbaaz squashed them and said that Sonakshi’s name had been finalised for the film.
When asked about Dabangg 3 at a recent promotional interview of Akira, Sonakshi said, “That is a question that only Arbaaz Khan can answer. I don’t think the script is in place. These people are still working on it. When it happens, it will happen.” On the work front, Salman Khan is shooting for Kabir Khan’s war-drama Tubelight while Sonakshi is awaiting the release of her films Akira, Force 2 and Noor.
