Akshay Kumar gets flak for waving Indian flag upside down, apologises

Akshay Kumar steers clear of controversies, but unfortunately, he fell into one at the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017.

While cheering for Indian women’s cricket team at Lords’, Akshay Kumar waved the national flag upside down. The moment he posted the picture on Twitter, he received a lot of flak for violating the code of conduct for the tricolour. Akshay then took to social media to apologise.

“Extending my sincerest apology for violating the code of conduct for the tricolor. Didn’t mean to offend anyone, the picture has been removed,” (sic) he said.
