Tamannaah Bhatia’s double whammy

I hope that they both do well. Both are different, one is a horror comedy and the other a thriller.

The Baahubali star Tamannaah Bhatia is gearing up for double releases at the box office. While for the first time, we will see her in a deaf and mute character for Khamoshi directed by Chakri Toleti. Her Tamil film Devi 2 is also releasing as Abhinetri 2 in Telugu on the same day. Incidentally, both the films are in the horror and supernatural genre.

“When I heard the subject of Khamoshi, I was surprised because in Hindi films, we do have songs and dances added to a story. But in a thriller, we wanted to keep the pace intact and this film does that. We shot the film in a town near London and we tried to keep the spirit of thriller alive. The interesting part is that Prabhudeva and I are collaborating for the third time,” says Tamannaah.

Talking about the clash, she says, “Well one film is in Hindi and the other in Tamil. It is a double whammy for me, and I hope that they both do well. Both are different, one is a horror comedy and the other a thriller,” she adds.

On playing a deaf and mute character, the actress reveals that it wasn’t that easy and required her to prep up a little. “I spent a few days preparing for my character and did a workshop. There was a person constantly on the sets who was helping me with the sign language and making sure that I was getting it right, because sign language is new for me,” says the actress.
