Not Rajkumar Gupta, Sidharth Malhotra likely to be part of Anees Bazmee's next

Mumbai: Sidharth Malhotra, last seen in ‘Aiyaary’, is currently gearing up for Vikram Batra biopic.

The actor was recently approached with a script, which he clicked and posted on his Twitter handle.

The script could either be Ekta Kapoor’s next or as per some reports, it most probably was Raj Kumar Gupta’s ‘Most Wanted’.

The movie got pushed and according to a report on DNA, the final draft somehow didn’t work for Sid.

Says a source, “Sid and Raj had a lot of meetings where they were tweaking the scripts. But the final draft didn’t work for the actor, so he politely declined the offer. Raj is now looking for another young face to do his film.”

But there was no disappointment since the source further added that Anees has approached Sidharth and things might finally work out.

The source reveals, “Anees Bazmee has approached Sidharth for a solo lead in a rom-com. The two recently met at the latter’s office to discuss the script. The actor has liked the story.”

“This is just the first round of discussions. Sidharth has not yet signed the film. He will sit for a proper narration and decide. Also, the modalities need to be worked out. So there won’t be an official announcement right away,” adds the source.

Apart from Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Saade Saati’, Anees Bazmee will also be directing a two-hero film, which is what Sid appears to be in consideration for.
