Vivek Oberoi, last seen in Ajith’s Vivegam as an antagonist, was in the city to launch an innovative product developed by actor-producer RK. Along with him was IPL host and actor Samir Kochar. While Oberoi shared his south connect, RK says how he hit upon the new formula. Vivek who was seen in a jubilant mood said, “When I was invited to Chennai by RK, I was absolutely thrilled. Chennai is almost my ‘second home’ as most of my relatives live here.”

The Rakta Charitram star adds, “South India has always given me the best, be it world famous Idly- Sambar or Superstar Rajinikanth who is known globally. My mother is from south, from Coimbatore, and my wife is from Karnataka. That way, when RK came and told me about this new formula he has discovered in the hair colour segment which seemed unique, I felt this could be one addition to my south links.”

The actor known for his philanthropic activities adds, “I am not here just because RK called me. But, I personally convinced myself with the product as I am always keen that anything new should do good to people.” RK reasoned out why he took a long sabbatical from films, “I was keen to develop this new product of mine and was involved in its research with my big team for the last one year. So, my concentration was on that. Now, having achieved that and perhaps for the first time by a film personality, I will be announcing my big budget movie soon, which will be an eye-opener.”
