I grew up watching the best of action films: Sidharth Malhotra
New Delhi: An ardent fan of action genre, Sidharth Malhotra said that his upcoming film 'A Gentleman: Sundar, Susheel, Risky' was "fulfilling" for him as he "got to do some really cool action stunts" in it.
"For me as an actor, 'A Gentleman' was very fulfilling. I got to do some really cool action stunts, comedy, and romance. Moreover, I am a big fan of action genre. I have grown up watching the best of action films," he told ANI.
Further talking about Suniel Shetty's special appearance in the film, he said, "Suniel Sir is playing a very pivotal role and I m really excited about it as Suniel Sir is coming back to silver-screen after so many years. It's an absolute pleasure to work with him. He is a true gentleman. Contrary to what characters he has played, he's been the truest action hero in the past and he still has a very strong personality."
Adding, "He carries himself very well. I have immense amount of affection for him. I am very happy and excited that he is working with us."
When asked about playing dual characters for the first time, Sidharth said, "It was very challenging to play dual characters in 'A Gentleman' as there was more work to do, I need to prep up more. But when Raj and DK first came to me, they said they don't want to do a typical double film. So, the film is a nice take on double role and has a nice story and there is much more to the film than just the two characters of Gaurav and Rishi."
The 32-year-old along with the film's leading lady Jacqueline Fernandez, was recently in the national capital on a promotional spree for their upcoming film.
On a related note, helmed by Krishna D.K. and Raj Nidimoru, 'A Gentleman' is all set to hit theatres tomorrow.
