It’s rolling time for Priyanka Chopra as she has begun shooting for Bharat and come August 8, she will start working for Shonali Bose’s The Sky is Pink. Bankrolled by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ronnie Screwvala, who are reuniting after their UTV days as joint producers, The Sky is Pink also stars Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim.
“The Sky is Pink is based on a real-life story written by Juhi Chaturvedi. It is an inspirational tale and what is interesting is that Siddharth was heading Ronnie’s UTV Motion Pictures and now the two are coming together for a film. Priyanka who has done five films — Fashion, Kaminey, What’s Your Raashee, 7 Khoon Maaf and Barfi — with UTV earlier when Ronnie and Sidharth were around, will mark her sixth association with the team,” informs our trade source.
The Sky Is Pink will have music by Pritam. It will be interesting to see if The Sky Is Pink or Bharat will mark Priyanka’s comeback to Bollywood after Jai Gangaajal.
