Swara Bhaskar sweating it out learning Kalaripayattu in Pondicherry

Mumbai: In one of the best phases career-wise, with a Screen Award for Best Actress – Critics for 'Nil Battey Sannata' and Femina Woman Award for Best Breakthrough Performance for

'Anaarkali of Aarah,' Swara Bhaskar is the last person to need an acting workshop. Yet, the talented actress has enrolled in one, in Pondicherry.

News is that Swara is also currently training in Kalaripayattu, along with this workshop. Kalaripayattu is a form of martial arts that has its roots in the South of India, where the versatile actress hails from. The powerhouse performer plans to channel the focus she gains from it into her craft.

A close source reveals, “Swara always wanted to try Kalaripayattu and she’s glad that she had the window to accommodate the sessions in her busy schedule. Her goal was to better her focus and now she is completely hooked to it.”
