Parineeti Chopra propels Australia’s tourism
She might have started out as Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ cousin sister, but over the years, the actress has built a name for herself. So much so that few years back she was appointed as the first Indian woman ambassador in ‘Friends of Australia’ advocacy panel by Tourism Australia. And so her fan following is reaping benefit for the Australian tourism.
According to the India Entertainment Marketing Report 2019, Indian visitors to Australia has grown at an average of 21 per cent since the appointment of Parineeti as a ‘Friend of Australia’ (a catchphrase used by the authorities instead of Brand Ambassador), in comparison to 15 per cent growth experienced during the prior six months.
“That’s just awesome to hear. I felt for this campaign from my heart and I guess it showed. Now, my aim is to take the growth number to 50 per cent,” said an ecstatic Parineeti.
The actress has been a Friend of Australia for the past three years and has also contributed creatively to the films that promoted Australia to Indian tourists.
