Salman Khan rape comment row: Be human, please

Apart from Sona, Salman's former co-star from Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Renuka Shahane, slammed the actor.

While most of the film industry has decided to keep mum and not speak up against Salman Khan and his tasteless ‘raped woman’ comment, there have been quite a few celebrities who have made no bones about calling out on Salman’s terrible statement.

Kangana Ranaut, who is known to speak her mind was one of them, however the actress decided to play it safe by cushioning her comment and by speaking up two days after the entire issue.

However, the one person who spoke up against the actor — singer Sona Mohapatra — wasn’t that lucky. The singer, who never minces words, tweeted, “Women thrashed, people run over, wild life massacred & yet #hero of the nation.’Unfair’. India full of such supporters”.

Moments after her tweet went viral, fans of the actor started abusing her and even threatening her. And she was mercilessly trolled for her statement.

Apart from Sona, Salman’s former co-star from Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Renuka Shahane, slammed the actor. She tweeted, “There is no consent in rape. There is consent in acting & actors are also paid for it. A rape victim has to pay forever! Be human please!

The other actress who spoke out against Salman was Sonali Bendre. However most of the people from B’wood decided to stay silent.
