Sade Saati: Sonakshi Sinha and Ileana D'Cruz in competition for Ajay Devgn

It was recently announced that Ajay Devgn has been roped in for Anees Bazmee’s comic caper ‘Sade Saati’ which takes a hilarious dig at astrology.

The film will star three ladies, including one A-lister opposite Ajay Devgn. The A-listers in consideration reportedly are Ajay’s ‘Son Of Sardaar’ and ‘Action Jackson’ actress Sonakshi Sinha and his ‘Baadshaho’ and ‘Raid’ beauty Ileana D’Cruz.

A source close to the development told DNA, “The makers have two options in their mind. They want to cast either Ileana D’Cruz or Sonakshi Sinha to play Ajay’s love interest. The main heroine’s role is as important as that of the three heroes because her character is significant to the plot.”

Ileana recently worked with Anees in his last film ‘Mubarakan’. The director indirectly hinted saying, “It was lovely working with Ileana in ‘Mubarakan’. She’s a terrific actress and I would like to work with her again. The heroine’s role in ‘Sade Saati’ is a well-established part but as of now, we haven’t approached any actress for the role.”

The source added, “There won’t be any heroine opposite Anil. Anees is also planning to get Varun Sharma on board.”

For the uninitiated, Ajay and Anees have worked together in ‘Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha’, ‘Deewangee’ and ‘Hulchul’.
