Katrina Kaif refuses to do a promotional item song for Jagga Jasoos

Mumbai: Katrina Kaif might have had a string of unsuccessful films last year, but she is still among the most sought after actresses in Bollywood. The actress is all set to star alongside the Khan triumvirate in their upcoming films, and has a lot to look forward to.

However, Anurag Basu’s upcoming directorial, the long delayed ‘Jagga Jasoos,’ has been giving her some major career discomfiture.

The sleuth mystery stars ex-flames Ranbir and Kat in the lead roles.

The makers, who’re quite concerned about the film’s box-office prospects, have been trying to convince her to do a promotional song for the film.

However, Kat has reportedly turned them down categorically.

A source close to the film said, “Katrina and Ranbir were a couple when the film had rolled, but they broke apart mid-way, and this had created a lot of friction on the sets. However, they still acted like absolute professionals and finished shoot. But now Katrina doesn’t want to shoot any more than she already has. She gave the makers a firm no, when she was approached for the item song. However, she will be promoting the film alongside Ranbir’.

The Pritam musical, also starring Govinda, is slated to release on July 14.
