According to reports, dozens of Congress workers gathered in Shivaji Park area of Allahabad and hung a board bearing Rishi Kapoor’s name outside a Sulabh Shauchalya.
Protesters argued that naming public assets after the Gandhi family is justified because the country prospered after achieving freedom due to them.
Recently, Congress workers had staged a protest outside Kapoor’s house in suburban Bandra in Mumbai and also pelted stones and shouted slogans against the actor.
