Chanderkant Sharma turns filmmaker with a movie on demonetisation

The movie is already stirring controversy as it is based on the impacts of PM Narendra Modi’s demonetisation policy.

New Delhi: Veteran journalist Chanderkant Sharma turns filmmaker with the movie The Great Indian Movie. His company Cinemirchi Productions has made this movie helmed by ‘My name is RaGa’ Director Rupesh Paul. The projected headed by Neeraj Sharma is ready for release by end of June.

The movie is already stirring controversy as it is based on the impacts of Narendra Modi’s demonetisation policy. The story revolves around four crooks who uses Indian ‘jugad’ to tackle the ‘notebandi’.

The movie is also dedicated to the ‘unknown number of people who died and five million people who lost job’ after demonetisation.

Rajesh Sharma, Asif Basra, Pankaj Beri, Deepraj Rana plays the four Mumbai gangsters in the Ameesha Patel starrer crime drama.

The teaser was launched by actor Dharmendra at Hotel Piccadily, New Delhi on Friday.

“The movie is a mix genre of political and neo noir. It tells a very realistic story of how some smart citizens who took demonetisation as a boon when another one billion people had suffered it ” says producer Chanderkant Sharma who made the movie under the banner Cinemirchi Productions.

Govind Namdev , Yateen Karyekar, Sanjay Gandhi, Anant Jog, Scarlett Mellish Wilson, Heena Panchal, Nisha Rasaily are the other cast.
