Mumbai Police reprimands Varun for taking selfie with fan from a running car
Mumbai: Varun Dhawan might be enjoying unparalleled success at the box-office, but he seems to have landed himself in a soup with the Mumbai Police.
The young actor, who was seen this year in two 100-crore grossers, i.e. 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' and 'Judwaa 2,' was recently snapped clicking a selfie froma moving car with a fan, who was in an adjacent auto-rickshaw.
The Mumbai police didn't take to the stunt kindly, and reprimanded the actor on social media, warning of harsher action in the future.
.@Varun_dvn These adventures surely work on D silver screen but certainly not on the roads of Mumbai! U have risked ur life,ur admirer’s & few others. V expect better from a responsible Mumbaikar & youth icon like U! An E-Challan is on d way 2 ur home. Next time, V will B harsher pic.twitter.com/YmdytxspGY

Varun responded to the tweet apologising profusely.
My apologies 🙠Our cars weren’t moving since we were at a traffic signal and I didn’t want to hurt the sentiment of a fan but next time I’ll keep safety in mind and won’t encourage this. https://t.co/MEJk56EksG

The handle has already been popular on the medium for its wacky sense of humour when it comes to pushing home a point and promptness in response when contacted.
Their decision to not let a celebrity walk away will only set the right precedent and deter blind fiends from trying to reproduce such stunts.
Varun will next be seen in Shoojit Sircar's 'October' and Sharat Katariya's 'Sui Dhaaga' alongside Anushka Sharma.
