Manoj’s 7 different looks in the film Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari

The actor plays a Sikh, a beggar, a Maharashtrian woman in a saree, a dabbawallah, an old photographer and a don among other roles

Manoj Bajpayee recently won the best actor award for his performance in Raj and DK’s digital show The Family Man at the acclaimed Asian Academy Creative Awards. Now, as his film Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari with Diljit Dosanjh and Fatima Sana Shaikh releases this Diwali again on an OTT, the talented actor will be seen in seven different characters in this astrological comedy.

“Manoj runs a spy agency that checks the backgrounds of prospective grooms for the brides’ families. Hence he has to put on various get-ups so that he is not recognised. Manoj dons the role of a Sikh, a beggar, a Maharashtrian woman in a saree, a dabbawallah, an old photographer, a don among other roles in the film to find out the truth about Diljit’s character in the film. This is the first time in his long career that he has dressed in drag,” says our source.

Incidentally Fatima Sana Shaikh plays a Maharashtrian woman in the film directed by Abhishek Sharma who has previously helmed John Abraham’s Parmanu as well the Tere Bin Laden series.
