Mumbai: Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover who tied a knot in April last year met on the sets of ‘Alone’, their first film together. The duo is quite popular amongst fans for their mushy posts on social media. Earlier they had shot a commercial for a mattress brand and now they have teamed up again to set a bar higher this time. The glamorous couple recently shot a steamy commercial for the condom brand.
With this ad, the couple aims to create awareness on the need for safe sex. "The idea is to create awareness on the subject; it's the need of the hour. I am doing no wrong by endorsing condoms," Bipasha said.
When asked if there were any apprehensions in shooting an ad, Bipasha revealed, "It was going to be shot by one of the most trusted photographers and ad-filmmaker in the business, Prasad Naik. So, I knew it would be aesthetically shot. Also, the thought behind the campaign — 'give her more' = appealed to us.”
While the first commercial is already on air, another one will be shot later this month. "I've provided inputs in the styling of the next ad. We will keep it playful and focus on the love between a couple in the next ad too," the actress added.
Bipasha’s husband Karan Singh Grover shared the ad on Instagram and wrote under it, "In a country that has the second largest population in the world.. we still have taboos on just the words sex and condoms… but not the actual act. Let’s talk more… read more and learn more about all the things that can be avoided just by the use of a simple precaution. With condoms you can have planned pregnancies and protected sex… which can curb the growth HIV and STD cases. As a couple we believe in this that’s why we have thoughtfully endorsed it."
