Paltan's army uniforms sourced from defense ministry

Based on the Nathu La pass military clashes of 1967 that took place along the Sikkim border, Paltan is slated to release on 7 September.

JP Dutta, known for his war drama films is all set to complete his trilogy with Paltan.

The filmmaker known for the authentic portrayal of the army in his earlier films, Border and LOC Kargil, has left no stone unturned for Paltan. We hear that, the director has sourced real uniforms used and worn by our soldiers back in 1967 from the Ministry of Defense.

A source close to the production reveals, “Since the movie revolves extensively around the war, the actors were in the uniforms most of the time. The ministry handed over the uniforms to JP sir before the shoot began. We had no costume designer, however, the uniforms were stitched according to the size of each character keeping it almost real and authentic.”
