Love Sonia trailer: This hard-hitting drama showcases the horror of society
Mumbai: The much-awaited trailer of director Tabrez Noorani’s forthcoming film 'Love Sonia', which revolves around human trafficking and global sex trade, was released today and this hard-hitting trailer showcases the very ugly truth of our society.
The film is about the haunting journey of a 17-year-old village girl named Sonia, whose life goes upside down after being trapped in a vicious cycle of the global sex trade.

The film is bankrolled by David Womark, who has also produced the Academy Award winning film Life of Pi (2012) and the BAFTA awardee, Deepwater Horizon (2016). Helmed by Tarbez Noorani, the power-packed star cast of the film features Demi Moore, Richa Chadha, Frieda Pinto, Anupam Kher, Rajkummar Rao, Manoj Bajpayee, Adil Hussain, Sai Tamhankar and popular TV star Mrunal Thakur in titular role.
Besides this stellar star cast, Indian and foreigner filmmakers coming together for a production on such sensitive subject is adding to the immense curiosity about the film.
After garnering huge appreciation in Los Angeles and winning accolades in London and Melbourne, Love Sonia is set for a release in India on September 14.
