First negative role for Amit Mehra in ‘Arjun Patiala’
Mumbai: Bollywood actor Amit Mehra will be seen playing a negative character for the first time in ‘Arjun Patiala’. Starring Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma in the lead roles, the film features him as a goon named Baldev Rana.
“It’s difficult not to laugh when you are around Diljit and Varun. And it was their combination which drew me to the film as I knew that it’s gonna be a super hilarious movie”, reveals Amit.
Saying that the audience will witness a completely new Amit in the film, the B-town hunk tells, “It’s completely the opposite of what I used to play in my earlier projects. Preparing for the character was not as easy as in real life, I am a very positive person. But although it was tough, I loved the challenges it gave me. I believe that with negative roles an actor can learn more.” Moreover, the film will see Amit performing many action sequences.
All praise for his co-actors, he adds, “It was a pleasure working with Kriti and Varun. Kriti is very sweet and Varun is super funny.” Mehra shares the maximum screen space with Diljit Dosanjh in the Rohit Jugraj directorial.
‘Arjun Patiala’ is slated to release on July 26.
