After Ranbir, Alia's Brahmastra, Karan Johar will gift Varun Dhawan superhero powers?

Even though superhero films haven’t had great success in India, filmmakers have not given up on trying to crack the formula. According to sources, Karan Johar has decided to try his hand at making a superhero film with Varun Dhawan in the lead.

“One of Karan’s directors will helm the project, while he himself will only be producing it. Karan’s creative team has flooded him with scripts, and he has shortlisted a few of them. He has recently embarked on a three-part superhero project with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Brahmastra, so the next film needs to be quite different,” a source reveals.

Apart from Hrithik Roshan as Krissh, no Indian superhero has been really popular. Meanwhile, the failed attempts include Tiger Shroff as the Flying Jatt, Shah Rukh Khan as G.One, Abhishek Bachchan as Drona, and more recently, Harshvardhan Kapoor as Bhavesh Joshi Superhero.
