Mumbai: Karan Johar, who earlier seemed to be quite impressed with Fawad Khan’s talent, had locked him in the titular role for his next production film, tentatively titled ‘Raat Baaki.’
Karan has already made films like 'Kapoor and Sons' and 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' with the Pakistani star.
Alas, the filmmaker had to curtail his urge of casting him again post the ban on Pakistani artists working in Bollywood.
Reportedly, this film, which initially starred Katrina Kaif opposite Fawad Khan, was shelved and has now said to be getting the shoulders of Salman Khan Films.
Apparently, now Salman Khan Films is producing ‘Raat Baaki’ and is said to be the most touted debut of Salman's brother-in-law Ayush Sharma.
So, Fawad Khan’s loss might turn out to be Ayush’s gain.
The film was earlier to be directed by lyricist Aditya Dhar, who would mark his filmmaking debut with it.
'Raat Baaki' is reportedly said to be a musical love story.
Considering Salman and Katrina’s history, and her affiliations with the Khan family, her role might remain permanent in this film....
