Manoj Bajpayee to receive the Dadasaheb Phalke award for Aligarh
New Delhi: Another feather has been added the talented actor Manoj Bajpayee's hat of success with Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
After receiving two National Awards for 'Satya' in 1998 and 'Pinjar' in 2003, the 'Gangs of Wasseypur' actor will be awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke in the Best Actor (Critics' Choice) category for portraying Dr. Siras in the much appreciated movie ' Aligarh'.
The movie is based on the late 'homosexual' professor, Ramchandra Siras who was suspended from his University after his sexual orientation became public.
The award ceremony will take place on April 24 in a suburban hotel in Mumbai. The 46-year-old actor's friends from the industry took to their respective Twitter handles to wish him on his achievement.
"Dadasaheb Phalke Award in the Best Actor (Critics' Choice) to @BajpayeeManoj for his portrayal of Professor Ramchandra Siras in #Aligarh," wrote Hansal Mehta.
