Countless movies have featured scenes of people playing with gulaal and pichkaris, on the occasion of Holi. But let’s find out from the gorgeous ladies of B’town, about how they’re planning to spending this year’s festival of colours!

This year I will have one off day from my OK JAANU schedule so I will try and spend some time with family. One stand-out Holi memory was the Bachchans’ Holi party that my parents took me too, it was very memorable. My favorite Holi song currently is balam pichkari.

I’m shooting for K2 at the moment, so unfortunately I’m not going to be celebrating Holi, unless we end up doing something on the set. I have lovely childhood memories of Holi. I remember my father used to fill balloons with water and we would tie them up. This used to start a few days before Holi — the excitement and fun. As we grew up, it became less about the balloons but more about the colour, dancing and having a merry time.

I love the atmosphere created during Indian festivities and Holi is a beautiful colourful festival. I have played here in India last year, and it felt so good to let loose and have fun with my friends. But I do think it’s the need of the hour to have a dry Holi without resorting to watery celebrations.

Holi is obviously about colour for me, but it is also a festival where you can just be yourself! Holi is a festival that allows us to really express ourselves… through celebration. Sometimes we need to let go of our inhibitions and reconnect with friends. And what better occasion to do this than Holi! My earliest memory is getting together with my friends and throwing water balloons filled with colour at each other. We would wake up as early as possible and get dressed for the day. My friends and I would get together, size up each other’s colour inventory. This year I will be shooting for The Return of Xander Cage. It’s a fun team. We are family and we will definitely try and celebrate together.

I love the festival and will definitely play Holi khulke with lot of gulaal and love. I make sure to oil my hair with a coconut hair oil. It protects my hair from the damage that the harsh Holi colours can do. And yes a good sleep after playing is all I need to detox myself. Also, I think given the water situation in the country, people should adopt to playing Holi khulke with gulaal than with water. I am definitely going to do my bit this Holi; what about you?!
