She will fly down to Chennai to flag off Jacqueline Builds, an initiative to rehabilitate the flood-affected in the Tamil Nadu capital.

Mumbai: Jacqueline Fernandez, who has been busy shooting for Rohit Dhawan’s ‘Dishoom’ with Varun Dhawan and John Abraham, is now putting in her efforts towards a noble cause. Soon after wrapping up a schedule, the leggy lass will fly down to Chennai to flag off Jacqueline Builds, an initiative to rehabilitate the flood-affected in the Tamil Nadu capital.

For her initiative, Jacqueline has joined hands with an NGO, Habitat for Humanity, to help raise enough funds for building new homes for the victims. She will also visit Panbai International School to appreciate the commendable efforts of the students who have been helping her spread awareness about her campaign.

The floods hit Tamil Nadu in November and December last year and led to loss of lives, assets, households and livelihood of the people. Although the state limped back to normalcy eventually, some relief operations are still in progress to help victims rebuild their lives.

Ever since Chennai was hit by the disaster caused by rains, many celebrities tried to do their bit by extending help to those in need. Shah Rukh Khan had donated a whopping amount of Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister’s public relief fund on behalf of Red Chillies Entertainment and team ‘Dilwale’. Akshay Kumar had pitched in by donating Rs. 1 crore for relief work.
