Watch: Swara reiterates her phenomenal acting prowess in Anaarkali of Aarah trailer

Mumbai: When you have such acting talents as Swara Bhaskar, Pankaj Tripathi and Sanjay Mishra at the helm of things, you can conveniently expect a cracker of a film.

Avinash Das' explosive 'Anaarkali of Aarah,' doesn't disappoint, if one is to go by the trailer. The film, based on the life of an erotic singer-performer from a small town, is unabashed with its themes, as well as picturisation.

Swara Bhaskar, who won accolades galore in 2016 for her performance in 'Nil Battey Sannata,' is in top form, as the sultry, eponymous sensation of her town.

However, the biggest shocker is Sanjay Mishra, who appears in the role of menacing oppressor, intimidating with his every move. Pankaj Tripathi, another established stalwart, adds his inimitable charm to the proceedings.

Swara, who evidently has the meatiest role, has sunk her teeth well into the film, and is bound to feature in every acting nominations this year.

Also written by Avinash, the film is slated to release on March 27.
